Recently, we were called out to a customer’s home that we have treated in the past for ants. She had noticed some flying insects around her home, and even after viewing pictures online of both termites and flying ants, she wasn’t sure which she had an issue with, so one of our technicians was sent out to perform a free inspection.
It can be difficult for the average person to tell the difference between termites and flying ants, since, as we pointed out in this blog post, the two can look very similar.
As it turns out, this customer did have termites swarming near her home, but after closer inspection, our pest control technician determined that the termites had not found their way into her home’s wood structure, so no treatment was necessary. Since it was swarming season for termites, it wasn’t a surprise to our technician to see termites out in the open. He informed the customer that her home was termite free, but advised her to have a follow-up inspection in several months to be certain that her home remained that way.
This customer, Civilla A., was kind enough to leave Knockout a five-star review on Yelp, and praised our technician for his honesty and reassurance. A less honest company could have told Civilla that her home needed treatment for termites, when in fact, it didn’t.
At Knockout Pest Control, we are always honest with our customers. If, after an inspection, we find that there are no pest problems to be concerned about, we’ll tell you. Or, if a problem can be solved easily and inexpensively, we won’t try to convince you to use more drastic or expensive measures. You can always count on us at Knockout to deal with you fairly and honestly, and to provide excellent service.
Civilla also praised Knockout for using non-toxic sprays in her home when she requested it. She reported that our pest control technician “…accommodated me by spraying the inside of my house with non toxic sprays since I take care of my 2 year old grandchild in my home part time. He has a heart defect so can’t have toxic chemicals around him.”
We will always accommodate the special requests of our customers, whether it’s with green termite treatment or other pest control methods that are safe to use around children and pets. We want to keep your family safe and pest free, and we are always researching new, cutting-edge treatments that are safe and natural, yet still effective.
We would love to have the opportunity to help you with your pest issues, just like we did for Civilla. If you are in the area of Temecula or Fallbrook, contact us to schedule your free pest inspection today.
